The constraint is the schedule, not the paint
On a house, we work through the day and the family works around us. In a commercial space that is reversed — the business has to trade, staff have to reach their desks, and stock has to move. So the sequence is planned around when the space is empty rather than when it is convenient to paint.
That often means evenings, weekends, or working one zone at a time behind screening while the rest stays open. It is worth saying out loud at the estimate, because it changes the timeline more than the square footage does.

What tends to be different
Surfaces take harder wear, so the specification matters more than in a house — corridors and stairwells get touched constantly, and a coating chosen for a bedroom will not last there. Ceiling heights often need access equipment. And a commercial space usually has more to protect: equipment, stock, cabling and flooring that cannot be moved.
None of that is complicated. It just has to be planned rather than discovered on the first morning.

Can you work outside business hours?
Yes. Evenings and weekends are normal for occupied spaces, and it is often the cheaper option overall because nothing has to stop.
How disruptive is it?
That depends on how the work is sequenced. Zoned properly, most businesses keep trading throughout. We plan that at the estimate rather than during.
Do you do exterior commercial work?
Yes — walls, doors, trim and railings. The same preparation rules apply as on a house: what is underneath decides how long the finish lasts.
